Records is an Canadian based independent digital & physical
music label. The label is a unique marriage of contemporary
distribution, marketing and publicity with traditional indie label
values and, most importantly, a wonderful catalogue of releases.
The labels current distribution channels include iTunes, emusic,
rhapsody, napster, amazon.mp3, shockhound.com, lala.com,
GroupieTunes, and Bluetracks.ca. We are always open for new
partnership to extend our distribution network. Here at 9.12, we're
passionate about playing our part in this exciting musical
revolution, giving exposure to some of the most exciting musical
attractions we've heard. 9.12 current catalogue includes releases
that slip between the edges of experimental ambient work,
shoegazing pop, post-rock and Folktronic. The label has earned a
reputation for releasing exciting and engaging new independent
music that is not bound by genre or style. Jean-François Mercier
and Jacques Philippe Lemieux Leblanc from The Banjo Consorsium
started the label with a mission to help talented musical artist's
worldwide and children's affected by war through
War Child Canada.
We're proud an honored to be the home of amazing bands such as The
Banjo Consorsium, Apjiw, Dedo, Building Castles Out of Matchsticks
and Temjiin. 9.12 Records does not hold the copyright of any music
material that is featured on the record label. That makes us
different. All 9.12 records artists hold all copyright, and receive

Demo submissions - here's the scoop.
We
prefer to listen to music online so send us a link to your music
and we will check it out. We particularly like MySpace.com.
So if you don't have a web site get a MySpace site (it's free),
upload some tunes and send us the link. We check out everything. If
we like what we hear we will be in touch. If we like what we hear
we will contact you. That's the way it works.
Do not send MP3's via email, just send us the link to your site and
we will check out your music. You can still send in CD's or CDR's
to the address below if you like but we prefer listening to your
music online. If you do send us a CD make sure you mark right on
the CDR your contact info. Thanks for sending us your
music.
